Down to Earth is a restaurant with a beautiful ocean view, situated at HeroldsBay Eco Resort.The welcoming by staff is friendly and as you enter the restaurant, the atmosphere is warm and earthy. The walls are made of clay and straw, the high ceiling from wood and the glass windows are stained.



The restaurant succeeds in creating a good balance between style and simplicity.

From the wooden deck you get an awesome view over Heroldsbay. Whales, dolphins and  a view of Mosselbay can also be seen in the distance. You are surrounded by a contrast of green landscapes and the blue ocean. The setting is amazing and makes you very aware of nature's beauty.

The menu offers good traditional food and it is reasonably priced - it includes a variety of starters, salads, main dishes and desserts. The wine list has a selection of good South African wines. To contribute to the relaxing atmosphere, local artists are invited to entertain guests with their musical talent.

It makes a stunning venue for family dining, weddings, private functions or to celebrate any special occasion.

Visiting the restaurant is a pleasant and truly “Down to Earth” experience.

Directions:
It is approximately 15km from George driving on the N2 towards Heroldsbay. About 2km from the left turn off  to Oubaai, you find the entrance on the right side of the road.

Business Hours:
Fridays and Saturdays – open from 11am till late for lunch and dinner. Sundays: Open 11 am for lunch
